Commissioner Morman and Buffalo Bayou Partnership are proud to announce the opening of Buffalo Bend Nature Park.  The formerly abandoned industrial property was transformed into a 10-acre greenspace that includes a half-mile jogging trail, wetland ponds, an overlook shelter, native plants, and more! Located at 2300 S/Sgt. Macario Garcia Drive, this park is perfect for nature lovers as it overlooks Buffalo Bayou.

The $2.8 million project was made possible by a collaborative effort between Harris County Precinct 2 and Buffalo Bayou Partnership, including grant funding from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.  Other contributing entities included SWA Group, Specialty Construction, Trees for Houston, and CORE Design Studio and Interpretive Insights.

Precinct 2 and Buffalo Bayou Partnership encourage you to visit this park and hope you enjoy the experience for years to come! For more information, click here.
