EAST ALDINE, Texas – Commissioner Jack Morman and the East Aldine Management District recently announced that construction on Town Center’s infrastructure will begin on Monday, August 21st. This $9 million project includes the addition of a left-turn lane on Aldine Mail Route Road from Russ Drive to Fall Meadow Lane, as well as the construction of roadways, drainage ponds, and utility infrastructure within the Center.

“There are many moving parts in the development of Town Center, and the East Aldine Management District has been a great partner in this project,” said Commissioner Morman. “We expect our infrastructure portion to be complete in one year, so I’d like to thank everyone in advance for their patience during this time.”

Roadwork will require single-lane closures for eastbound traffic during off-peak hours. Drivers are reminded to travel with caution through the construction zone or use alternate routes, if possible.

“The $100M Town Center is an economic development catalyst which will immeasurably benefit the East Aldine community. We are proud to partner with Commissioner Morman on this iconic project,” said East Aldine Chairman, Gerald Overturff.
