UPDATE: Drivers can now enjoy the new and improved Krenek Road! Crews opened the roadway back up to motorists the first week of August just in time for the new school year to start. For more information on the project, see the original article below.
Commissioner Jack Morman has moved forward with construction on Krenek Road at FM 2100. This improvement includes widening the intersection to add a dedicated left-turn lane for westbound drivers on Krenek Road turning southbound onto FM 2100. The project also includes milling and asphalt overlay repairs along Krenek Road between FM 2100 and Highway 90.
Precinct 2 timed construction to coincide with the Crosby Independent School District’s summer break to reduce impacts on commuters. The $612,000 project is expected to be complete by late August of this year. Crews will be directing traffic for the duration of construction; however, alternate routes are recommended. Precinct 2 thanks you for your patience during this project. Drive safely!
