Harris County, TX — TODAY, after a motion introduced by Precinct 2 Commissioner Adrian Garcia, Harris County Commissioners Court will increase funding to the Harris County Rental Assistance Fund. With an additional $15 million added to the fund, recipients are now eligible to receive up to a maximum total of $1,900 per household.

Houston, TX –The Harris County COVID-19 Relief Fund will open its public application to all eligible Harris County residents in its second phase of fund deployment. The public application will be open Tuesday, June 23 and Wednesday, June 24, 2020.

Harris County, TX — TODAY, Harris County Commissioners Court passed an expansion of the Homestead Exemption for seniors, disabled veterans, and homeowners living with disabilities. The increased Exemption now applies to qualifying homeowners with homes valued up to $286,250.

The group will hold discussions with operators of Precinct 2 senior living facilities and will use this information to present a set of recommendations for how to navigate the current crisis and keep residents and facilities safe. The task force features experts from an array of sectors related to all aspects of crisis management and senior facility care.
