About the Park

Edna Mae Washington Park is a 28.99 acre park located north of I-10 East and next to the J.D. Walker Community Center. This recreational area is named after Edna Mae Washington, who was a long time resident and community leader in the area. Park has traditional park amenities including 0.7 mile lighted jogging trail, multi-functional green space, full sized lighted basketball pavilion and equestrian area. Kids will enjoy cooling down in Spray Park. The spray park is open from the first Saturday in April through the last Saturday in October from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
